Richard Kilgarriff

Media and eco hero

On his travels as a media executive and eco-entrepreneur, Richard has presented his own show on BBC radio, built a cinema for the Cannes Film Festival, launched several television channels and advised big brands on how to be environmentally responsible without losing their cool. After becoming a father in 2005, he left his job at Time Warner to encourage people to reduce their carbon footprint and recycle mobile phones, diverting millions of handsets from landfill as a result. He is now working back on planet media but remains down to earth when it comes to living a sustainable lifestyle.
