Rafael Bonachela

Mover and shaker

Rafael Bonachela started his dancing career choreographing routines to Michael Jackson's Thriller in his hometown of Barcelona and he has been known to teach disco to pop princesses, but it's his serious moves that have garnered awards the world over. Now artistic director of Sydney Dance Company, Rafael tours the world for work and play. He is a compulsive photographer and his Twitter account acts like a GPS for others to locate him. He finds inspiration in the minutiae of everyday life, from street signs to encounters with random people.
