Layo started out with a backpack, and still believes some places are best seen from a $10-a-night room. This doesn’t mean he is a stranger to luxury, though, since he spends 100 days a year in top hotels around the world when he’s on DJ duty. Layo was behind legendary London club the End, and bar AKA, both of which he’s now sold to free up more time for travel and tastemaking.
