Although there isn't a restaurant at Clove Hall, delicious hot and cold snacks are available during the day – including fruit platters or delicately fried samosas and spring rolls – and can be taken reclining on your day-bed, by the pool or alfresco on the terrace. If you want to splash out on a personal chef, convivial dinner parties or intimate candelit meals can be arranged in advance, served at the long mahogany table on period china; take your pick of Nonya, Thai, Indian and Chinese cuisines.
- Room service The house closes down early; there's no in-room hot food service after 7pm, although there's someone on hand 24-hours if you want a refreshing cup of tea or a night-cap.
