Atlantic House was the perfect, relaxing, chic setting for our honeymoon. The staff are warm, welcoming and eager to pass on advice and local know-how for making the most of this vibrant city, but somehow still manage to pass by unnoticed; so quiet and discreet that we imagined we had the run of the hotel to ourselves! Many local Camps Bay restaurants are fantastic. The Codfather (which has no menu, but a fresh fish counter and platters designed for every palate and price tag) and the Blues Restaurant (with unsurpassed views of the ocean) were particular favourites. Our best dining experience though was in nearby Kalk Bay, where we ate at Live Bait (+27 (0)21 788 5755) – underneath its more famous sister restaurant, Harbour House) – and watched the seals and the dolphins from the window!
